Morning Reflection

In royal courts long ago, only the lowest servant washed dirty, dusty feet. No king would ever kneel to do that job. No king — until one night, in a small upstairs room.

Jesus knew exactly who He was: God's own Son. And knowing that, He knelt down anyway and washed His disciples' feet — even the feet of the friend who would betray Him hours later.

The Word

Jesus didn't need to prove He was great by being served. His greatness showed in how much He served others — even people who would let Him down.

That flips how we usually think about power. Real strength isn't about being on top. It's about kneeling to help someone, even when you don't have to.

If you've ever felt you need to be "impressive" before God will accept you, this story says otherwise completely.

A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today

A wealthy man once swept the floor of a poor widow's home himself, instead of sending a servant. When asked why, he said, "Being powerful means I get to choose how I use it. I choose to kneel."

Am I waiting to "become worthy" before I get close to God — instead of letting Him serve and love me now?
