Morning Reflection
A soldier heading into unfamiliar territory wouldn't dream of going without his armor and weapons, no matter how confident he felt. Confidence alone doesn't stop an attack. Preparation does.
The Word
New believers sometimes think spiritual struggles — doubt, temptation, discouragement — mean something is wrong with their faith. Actually, it usually just means the fight is real, and you need to be equipped for it.
Ephesians 6 lists spiritual "armor": truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and God's Word. None of it is complicated. It's simply staying grounded in what's true, staying close to God, and knowing His Word well enough to use it when you're tested.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
A young knight refused to wear his armor because it felt heavy and unnecessary during peaceful days. The day battle came suddenly, he wished he had worn it all along.
Which piece of "armor" — truth, prayer, God's Word — have I been neglecting lately?
Read Ephesians 6:10–18 today and pick one piece of armor to focus on this week.
Lord, equip me for the battles I face. Help me stay dressed in truth, faith, and Your Word. Amen.
