Anchor Scriptures
John 15:4-8 — "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
1 Peter 4:10-11 — "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
Colossians 3:23-24 — "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance."
2 Timothy 2:2 — "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."
Beloved Pillars of CrossCamp Church, welcome to a new month of formation. We thank God for bringing us through the months of foundation, alignment, consecration, responsibility, unity and establishment.
We have not been gathering merely to prepare for church activities. God has been preparing us to become the people who can carry what He is building.
September taught us to become established, united and trustworthy. Now October takes us deeper. October is the month of Maturity, Service & Kingdom Readiness.
The question before us is no longer simply, "Am I established?" It is, "What is my establishment producing?" And, "Can what God has formed in me now become useful to others?"
October: From Roots to Fruit
Jesus said, "He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit." (John 15:5) This month, we are moving from being rooted to becoming fruitful.
We will learn that spiritual maturity must eventually become visible through character, service, excellence, responsibility, discipleship, leadership and faithfulness.
CrossCamp cannot become strong merely because we have many people. We must become a people who produce spiritual fruit.
What October Will Form In Us
Fruitfulness. We will examine what our lives are producing.
Excellence in Service. We will learn to treat every assignment as an opportunity to honor God.
Vision-Carrying. We will become people who understand, live and preserve the vision of CrossCamp.
Kingdom Readiness. We will continue developing the maturity required to serve people effectively as CrossCamp approaches its public ministry season.
A Word to the Pillars
Do not despise this season because we are still preparing. A foundation is hidden before it becomes visible. The work God has been doing in us may not always be seen publicly, but it is preparing us for what will eventually become visible.
January 2027 is approaching. But our greatest preparation is not the calendar. It is the condition of our hearts and the quality of our character.
We do not want to arrive at commissioning with a beautiful structure but an unprepared people. We want to arrive with a people established in Christ, united in purpose, mature in character, faithful in service and ready to carry the assignment.
Our October Charge
Do not ask only, "What will CrossCamp do for me?" Ask, "What is God forming in me for CrossCamp?"
Do not ask only, "What position will I receive?" Ask, "What responsibility can I faithfully carry?"
Do not ask only, "When will the church grow?" Ask, "Am I becoming capable of helping the people God will send?"
Monthly Declaration
This month, I choose maturity over comfort.
I choose faithfulness over recognition.
I choose service over entitlement.
I choose character over appearance.
I choose excellence over carelessness.
I choose God's vision over personal ambition.
I will abide in Christ and bear fruit.
I will serve what God is building.
I will carry the vision faithfully.
I will prepare myself for greater responsibility.
By the grace of God, I will be ready for what He is bringing to CrossCamp.
