Foundational Pillars Training
October 2026
Week 3 — Carrying the Vision Forward
Annual Theme: Founding & Flourishing.
Stage 7: Maturity, Service & Kingdom Readiness.
Prophetic Theme: Becoming a Culture Carrier.
Core Scriptures: Habakkuk 2:2-3; 2 Timothy 2:2; Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Philippians 2:15-16.
Teaching Focus
A church becomes strong when its vision is not carried by one person alone. At the beginning of a work, the vision may be strongly associated with the founding leadership. But as the house grows, the vision must become understood, embraced, practiced and transmitted by its pillars.
CrossCamp is not preparing pillars merely to attend services. We are preparing people who can carry the culture of the house into the next generation of members. Therefore a pillar must move from "I know the vision" to "I live the vision" and eventually "I can help others understand and live the vision."
What Is a Culture Carrier?
A culture carrier is someone whose life communicates the values of the house even when nobody is explaining them. They do not merely know what CrossCamp teaches — they demonstrate it.
If CrossCamp values Christ-centredness, holiness, prayer, worship, discipleship, service, unity, excellence, evangelism and responsibility, then these values should become visible through the pillars. The culture is not what we print. The culture is what we consistently practice.
Expository Teaching — Habakkuk 2:2-3
God instructed Habakkuk, "Write the vision and make it plain." The vision had to be communicated clearly enough that those who encountered it could run with it. This reveals an important principle: vision must be understandable before it can become actionable.
A pillar who cannot explain what CrossCamp is building will struggle to help another person understand it. Therefore every pillar should be able to answer: Who are we? Why do we exist? What are we building? What kind of people are we forming? What kind of church are we becoming?
Vision Is More Than a Slogan
A vision statement can be memorized without being lived. Someone can quote, "Building a nation where true worship is a culture," yet still live without worship, holiness, service or spiritual responsibility. That means the words have entered the mind but not the life.
2 Timothy 2:2 — The Generational Principle
Paul told Timothy to commit what he had learned to faithful people who would be able to teach others. There is a powerful four-generation movement: Paul, then Timothy, then faithful people, then others.
Paul was not thinking only about his present ministry. He was thinking about continuity. That is the heart of CrossCamp's foundation season. The goal is not merely, "Can we run church?" The greater question is, "Can what God is establishing through us continue faithfully beyond us?"
Biblical Examples
Carrying Vision Without Becoming a Clone
Carrying the vision does not mean losing your personality. Joshua was not Moses. Elisha was not Elijah. Timothy was not Paul. Yet they carried forward what they had received.
Likewise, CrossCamp will contain people with different personalities, gifts, professions, backgrounds and ministry expressions. But there should be a common spiritual DNA: different expression, same foundation; different gifts, same Christ; different functions, same vision.
The Danger of Personal Agendas
One of the greatest threats to a young church is the development of competing agendas. A person may begin with genuine passion but gradually build around personal preferences, personal influence, personal relationships or personal ministry ambitions. The result can become fragmentation.
CrossCamp Application
A new believer should be able to look at a mature pillar and see what commitment looks like, what service looks like, what holiness looks like, what prayer looks like and what Christian character looks like. That is discipleship before formal teaching begins. Your lifestyle is already teaching; the question is what it is teaching.
Culture Must Survive Pressure
Anyone can represent a culture when circumstances are favorable. The real test comes under pressure. When disappointed, do I remain honorable? When corrected, do I remain teachable? When overlooked, do I remain faithful? When tired, do I remain responsible? When someone disagrees, do I remain respectful? When the church experiences difficulty, do I remain committed to Christ and the assignment? This is how culture becomes credible.
Toward January 2027
Commissioning should not simply mean, "Now we are officially opening." It should represent, "The foundation has been prepared, and we are ready to receive the assignment publicly."
Therefore the pillars must become capable of helping carry worship, discipleship, evangelism, prayer, hospitality, administration, communication, pastoral care, outreach and church operations. The question is no longer, "Will there be people?" There will be. The question is, "Will there be people ready to serve them well?"

CrossCamp Formation Statement
We receive the vision. We live the vision. We protect the vision. We transmit the vision. A pillar is not merely someone who belongs to the house; a pillar helps preserve what God is building in the house.
