Morning Reflection
A boy who helped clean up after a church event every single week, without ever being thanked publicly or noticed by leadership, was once asked if it bothered him. "No one has to see it," he said, "for it to matter to God."
The Word
Jesus completely redefined greatness — not being served, applauded, or noticed, but serving others, often quietly and without recognition. This isn't natural. Most people want their effort seen and appreciated.
Growing deep means learning to serve faithfully even when no one's watching, trusting that God sees what others miss, and that this quiet faithfulness is exactly what real greatness looks like in His kingdom.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
Tree roots do the hardest, most essential work of the entire tree — yet they're never seen, never praised, and never photographed. Without them, nothing above the ground survives.
Have I been serving mainly for recognition, or am I willing to serve even when no one notices?
Do one act of unnoticed service today, without telling anyone about it.
Lord, teach me to serve without needing applause. Help me trust that You see what others miss. Amen.
