Topic: He Carried It So You Don't Have To
Isaiah 53:4
"Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows." — Isaiah 53:4
CrossCamp Formation Truth
That heavy thing you're carrying — Jesus already offered to take it.
Morning Reflection
A porter at the airport once carried a heavy suitcase for an elderly traveler who couldn't manage it herself. "It wasn't my bag," he said. "But when I lifted it, she could stand straight again. The weight wasn't hers to carry anymore."
That small kindness is a tiny picture of what Jesus did on the cross.
The Word
Sin isn't a small thing God just ignores. It's heavy — it brings guilt, shame, and distance from God. That weight had to go somewhere.
On the cross, Jesus didn't just feel sorry for us from far away. He picked up the actual weight of our sin and carried it Himself, so we wouldn't have to carry it anymore.
That's why the cross matters so much. It wasn't just a sad story. It was a real rescue.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
Two boys were made to carry the same heavy sack up a hill as punishment for a mistake only one of them made. The innocent boy said, "Give it to me. I'll carry it for both of us." And he did — the whole way.
What weight have you been carrying that Jesus already lifted off you?
Write down one thing you feel guilty about. Pray, and release it to Jesus by name.
Jesus, thank You for carrying what I could never carry myself. I let it go today. Amen.
