Topic: You Were Worth Buying Back
1 Corinthians 6:20
"You were bought at a price." — 1 Corinthians 6:20
CrossCamp Formation Truth
You weren't just forgiven. You were bought back — because you were worth it.
Morning Reflection
Some things are simply not for sale — a mother's love, a person's freedom, a life. No price tag fits them. Yet the Bible actually uses the word "bought" to describe what Jesus did for us.
The Word
That word "bought" was used back then for freeing a slave — paying to release someone who couldn't free themselves. That's exactly our situation without Christ: stuck, unable to fix it on our own.
The price wasn't money. Money can't fix what's broken inside a person. The price was Jesus' own life, given freely.
Because of that, you're not just forgiven — you're wanted. Someone paid everything to have you back.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
A boy sold into servitude to pay off his family's debt was later bought back — not by a stranger, but by his own older brother, who gave up his savings to bring him home.
Do I live like someone who knows they were bought back at the highest price?
Before each choice today, ask: "Does this honor the price paid for me?"
Jesus, I was bought back by You. Help me live today like I belong to You. Amen.
