Topic: It's Never Too Late
2 Corinthians 6:2
"Now is the day of salvation." — 2 Corinthians 6:2
CrossCamp Formation Truth
Whatever hour you're arriving, grace meets you fully right now.
Morning Reflection
A farmer once hired a worker for a full day's pay, even though the man had only shown up in the final hour, after others had worked since morning. When the early workers complained, the farmer said simply, "Is it wrong for me to be generous with what's mine?"
The Word
That's almost exactly the story Jesus told about workers hired at different times, all paid the same. It bothers our sense of fairness — because grace isn't fair. It's generous.
This is great news if you feel like you've "come too late" — wasted years, made big mistakes, lived far from God for a long time. Grace doesn't calculate lost time and pay you less because of it. Whatever hour you show up, God meets you fully, right now.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
Two brothers planted crops — one started in the morning, one joined at sunset. At harvest, their father gave them an equal share. "You worked different hours," he said. "But you're both still my sons."
Have I believed I've "missed too much" for God's full grace? What does today's story say to that?
Thank God today for one specific way His grace has been more generous than you deserved.
Father, thank You that Your grace isn't measured by how long I've served You. I receive it fully today. Amen.
