Topic: Watching the Road

Memory Verse
Psalm 103:8

"The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger." — Psalm 103:8

CrossCamp Formation Truth

He hasn't stopped watching the road for you.

Morning Reflection

An elderly man sat by his window every evening for over ten years, long after his son left for the city without explanation. Neighbors stopped asking why. He simply said, "A father doesn't stop watching the road because the waiting is long."

The Word

A lot of people picture God as quick to get angry, always watching for our mistakes. Scripture says the opposite — He's "slow to anger" and full of steady love.

That doesn't mean sin doesn't matter to Him. It means His attitude toward wandering people isn't impatience. It's patience — like a father at the window, still watching, still hoping.

If you've stayed away from God because you thought He was tired of you, this verse corrects that. He's still watching the road for you.

A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today

A shepherd left ninety-nine sheep safely in the field to go searching for just one that wandered off — and didn't stop looking until he found it.

What have I believed about God's patience — something Scripture says, or something fear made up?
