Topic: Saying No to Temptation
1 Corinthians 10:13
"God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear." — 1 Corinthians 10:13
CrossCamp Formation Truth
You don't have to be strong enough to resist. You just have to take the way out He's already given.
Morning Reflection
A boy on a diet kept a bowl of his favorite snacks in plain sight on his kitchen counter, wondering why he kept failing to resist them. Once he moved the bowl out of sight into a locked cupboard, saying no became far easier.
Sometimes winning against temptation starts with removing what makes it so easy to say yes.
The Word
Everyone faces temptation — even Jesus did (Matthew 4:1–11). Temptation itself isn't sin. Giving in to it is. God promises He won't let temptation become more than you can handle, and He always provides a way to escape it.
Part of that "way out" is often practical — avoiding situations, people, or habits that make giving in easier. It's not weak to avoid temptation. It's wise.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
