Topic: Learning to Recognize His Voice

Memory Verse
John 10:27

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." — John 10:27

CrossCamp Formation Truth

You learn a voice by spending time with the One speaking.

Morning Reflection

A shepherd once explained that his sheep would never follow a stranger's call, even if the stranger used the exact same calling sounds he used. "They know my voice," he said, "because they've heard it every single day."

The Word

Recognizing God's voice isn't about hearing something audible or magical. It's about becoming familiar with how He speaks — mostly through His Word, through a quiet inner conviction, and through wise people around you.

The more time you spend with someone, the easier it is to recognize their voice in a crowded room. The same is true with God. The more time you spend reading His Word and praying, the more familiar His voice becomes — and the easier it is to tell it apart from your own thoughts or fears.

A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today

A child in a crowded market could immediately pick out her mother's voice calling her name, even among hundreds of other voices, because she'd heard it every day of her life.

CrossCamp Reflection

Am I spending enough time with God to recognize His voice when He speaks?

Today's Walk

Spend quiet time today simply listening in prayer, not just talking.

Prayer for Today

Lord, help me become familiar with Your voice. Teach me to recognize it clearly. Amen.
