Topic: Trusting Even When You Don't Understand

Memory Verse
Proverbs 3:5

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

CrossCamp Formation Truth

You don't need to understand it to trust Him with it.

Morning Reflection

A boy once refused to take medicine his mother gave him because it tasted bitter and he couldn't understand why something that tasted so bad would help him. Years later, as a doctor himself, he understood exactly why she'd insisted.

The Word

Trusting God doesn't mean everything will make sense right away. Sometimes what God allows feels bitter, confusing, even unfair — and He doesn't always explain Himself in the moment.

Proverbs 3:5 doesn't say "understand everything, then trust." It says trust Him even when your own understanding falls short. That's actually the whole point of trust — you don't need trust for things that already make perfect sense.

A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today

A young apprentice questioned why his master kept making him practice the same simple stroke over and over, thinking it pointless — until years later, that same simple stroke became the foundation of his greatest work.

CrossCamp Reflection

What's something I don't understand right now that I'm still choosing to trust God with?

Today's Walk

Write down one confusing situation, and simply write beside it: "I trust You anyway."

Prayer for Today

Lord, I don't understand everything, but I trust You more than my own understanding. Amen.
