Morning Reflection

A boy who broke a window while playing football hid the truth for weeks, terrified of the consequences. The secret weighed on him far more than the actual punishment did when he finally confessed. His father said simply, "I wasn't as upset about the window as I was about the hiding."

The Word

Hiding sin doesn't protect you — it isolates you. Confession, especially to a trusted person, brings things into the light where healing can actually happen.

This doesn't mean broadcasting every struggle publicly. It means having at least one or two trusted people you're honest with — someone who can pray for you, encourage you, and gently hold you accountable. Struggles hidden in secret tend to grow. Struggles brought into the light tend to lose their power.

A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today

A wound left covered and hidden festers and worsens. The same wound, cleaned and exposed to air and treatment, heals.

CrossCamp Reflection

Is there something I've been hiding that I need to bring into the light with a trusted person?

Today's Walk

Identify one trusted person you can be honest with this week, and take a step toward that conversation.

Prayer for Today

Lord, give me courage to stop hiding and start healing. Bring the right people into my life for this. Amen.
