Morning Reflection
A climber attempting a difficult mountain alone once slipped and was stranded for hours before help arrived. A friend who climbed the same mountain with a partner slipped too — but was caught and steadied immediately.
The Word
Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. New believers need a few close, trustworthy people around them — friends who will pray with them, ask honest questions, and help them up when they stumble.
If you don't already have people like this, it's worth actively looking for them — in a small group, a youth ministry, or simply a few trustworthy friends at church. Growth happens faster and safer with others than it ever does completely alone.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
A single stick snaps easily under pressure. A bundle of sticks tied together barely bends at all.
Do I have a few trustworthy people around me, or am I trying to grow completely alone?
Reach out today to one person you'd like to grow closer to spiritually.
Lord, bring the right people into my life. Help me not to walk this journey alone. Amen.
