Morning Reflection
A young carpenter's first stool wobbled badly and looked crooked. His master didn't mock it — he celebrated it. "Every great craftsman," he said, "starts with a wobbly first piece. This is how it begins."
The Word
New believers often feel discouraged by how "small" or "unimpressive" their faith looks compared to more mature Christians. But God isn't disappointed by small beginnings. He celebrates them, because He knows exactly what they'll grow into.
Don't despise where you're starting from. Every mature believer you admire once started exactly where you are now — unsure, wobbly, learning. The beginning isn't the problem. It's the proof that something real has started.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
An acorn, tiny and unimpressive, looks nothing like the massive oak tree it will one day become. But no oak tree ever skipped being an acorn first.
Have I been discouraged by how "small" my faith currently looks, instead of celebrating that it's growing at all?
Celebrate one small sign of growth in your own life today, out loud, in prayer.
Lord, thank You for celebrating my small beginnings. Help me not despise them either. Amen.
