Morning Reflection

A child afraid of a thunderstorm found her fear shrinking the moment her mother wrapped her arms fully around her, holding her close through every crash of thunder. The storm didn't get quieter. The fear just had less room, because love filled the space instead.

The Word

A lot of fear grows in the space where we doubt whether we're truly loved and safe. 1 John 4:18 says perfect love pushes fear out — not by ignoring danger, but by reminding us who's holding us through it.

The more you understand how completely God loves you, the less room fear has to grow. This isn't instant. It grows the more you rest in His love, again and again.

A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today

A small candle in a dark room doesn't fight the darkness directly — it simply shines, and the darkness has no choice but to shrink back. Love works the same way against fear.
