Morning Reflection
A young team captain once worried his teammates wouldn't respect his leadership because of his age. His coach told him, "You don't lead with your age. You lead with your example. Show them what you want, and they'll follow."
The Word
Real leadership isn't primarily about position, title, or age. It's about example — living in a way worth following, before you ever ask anyone else to follow you.
1 Timothy 4:12 was written to a young leader, encouraging him not to let his age hold him back, but to lead through his conduct: how he spoke, how he lived, how he loved. People follow what they see far more than what they're told.
A Simple Story Jesus Might Tell Today
A young shepherd boy led an entire flock of sheep not by shouting commands, but simply by walking ahead of them faithfully every day. The sheep followed his steps, not his words.
What does my example — not just my words — actually teach the people watching me?
Choose one area today — speech, conduct, love — to be intentionally a good example in.
Lord, let my life be an example worth following today, not just my words. Amen.
