Maturity: From Receiving to Carrying

Moving from spiritual dependence toward mature responsibility.

• Maturity is measured by what we can responsibly carry.
• A mature believer is teachable but not permanently dependent.
• God wants pillars who can be trusted with people, assignments and spiritual responsibility.

Ephesians 4 describes ministry gifts as equipment for the saints so that the body may grow into maturity.

Hebrews contrasts spiritual infancy with maturity and the ability to discern good and evil.

CrossCamp's pillars must grow from being recipients of ministry into people who can carry ministry responsibly.

Samuel grew from a child who listened to God into a dependable prophetic servant (1 Samuel 3).
