Focus
Moving from spiritual dependence toward mature responsibility.
Teaching Emphasis
- Maturity is measured by what we can responsibly carry.
- A mature believer is teachable but not permanently dependent.
- God wants pillars who can be trusted with people, assignments and spiritual responsibility.
Expository Teaching
Ephesians 4 describes ministry gifts as equipment for the saints so that the body may grow into maturity.
Hebrews contrasts spiritual infancy with maturity and the ability to discern good and evil.
